Who we are
SASSA Status Check Help is an independent information website run by N Chris. It is not part of SASSA, the Department of Social Development or the South African government. See our disclaimer for details.
Information only
Everything on this site is general information about SASSA grants. It isn’t official guidance, and it isn’t legal or financial advice. Rules, amounts and pay dates can change. Always confirm important details with SASSA before you act on them.
No official services
We can’t check, approve, pay, appeal or change any grant. Any action on your application must be done by you through SASSA’s official channels, such as srd.sassa.gov.za or the toll-free number 0800 60 10 11.

- Use the site for anything unlawful or to mislead other people.
- Copy large parts of the site automatically, for example with bots or scrapers.

Content and copyright
The text, layout and graphics on this site belong to SASSA Status Check Help unless we say otherwise. You’re welcome to link to our pages and quote a short part with a link back to the source. Please don’t copy whole guides and publish them as your own.
The names SASSA, the South African Social Security Agency and the Department of Social Development belong to their owners. We use them only to describe the services we write about. We don’t use SASSA’s logo.
Links and advertising
We link to other websites so you can check our sources and reach official services. We don’t control those sites. Ads on this site are provided by third parties, and showing an ad doesn’t mean we endorse the product or company.
Accuracy and liability
We work hard to keep this site accurate and up to date, but it is provided “as is”. To the extent allowed by South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act, we are not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or relying on its content, such as a missed payment, a declined application or a delayed appeal. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under South African law that can’t be excluded.
Privacy
How we handle personal information is explained in our privacy policy.
