SRD R370 Payment Dates

The SRD R370 grant doesn’t have one payment date for everyone. SASSA pays it on rolling dates in the second half of each month, after the old age, disability and children’s grants. Your own date shows on your status at srd.sassa.gov.za, next to each approved month. Money can take one to three business days to show in your account.

SRD payment dates for November 2026

SASSA hasn’t published a single SRD payment date for November 2026. In recent months it has paid the SRD grant on rolling dates later in the month, separately from the other grants (EWN, August 2026). Expect November to follow the same pattern, with your own date showing on your status once it’s set.

November’s early payments for older persons, disability and children’s grants, which moved because of the local government elections, don’t apply to the SRD grant. See the full November grant dates.

We update this section as soon as SASSA confirms a pay window. Ignore posters on Facebook or WhatsApp that promise a “guaranteed” SRD date for everyone.

How SRD payment dates work

The SRD grant is paid in a separate run from the permanent grants. Because SASSA checks every person again each month, your pay date depends on when your checks clear, so two people approved for the same month can be paid on different days.

For May 2026, TechCabal reported that SASSA processed SRD payments in a window from 24 to 30 May, with individual dates on each person’s status. That shows how the SRD run usually works: a window late in the month, not one fixed day.

What we know about SRD payment dates in 2026

Plenty of sites publish a neat table of SRD dates for every month, but SASSA doesn’t release the SRD run that way. Here’s what has actually been reported from SASSA this year:

  • May 2026: SRD payments were processed between 24 and 30 May, with each person’s date on their status (TechCabal).
  • September 2026: the other grants were paid on 2, 3 and 4 September, and the SRD grant on rolling dates later in the month (EWN).
  • October 2026: SASSA didn’t publish one SRD date. Recipients saw their dates on their own status.
  • November 2026: not yet announced at the time of writing.

Why is the SRD grant paid later than other grants?

The old age, disability and children’s grants are permanent grants with fixed days at the start of the month. The SRD grant is re-tested every month against bank, SARS, UIF and NSFAS records, and those checks have to finish before a payment batch can be set. That’s why SRD money tends to arrive in the second half of the month.

Public holidays and weekends

Payments aren’t processed on weekends, and a public holiday inside the payment window can push some payments to the next working day. If your SASSA status check for R350 payment dates shows a date that falls on a holiday, give it an extra working day before you worry.

How to do a SASSA status check for R350 payment dates

Many people still search for the “SASSA status check for R350 payment date”, even though the grant is now R370. The steps are the same:

  1. Open srd.sassa.gov.za and go to the status check.
  2. Enter your 13-digit ID number.
  3. Enter the cellphone number you applied with, not a new one.
  4. Submit and look at each month. An approved month with a date shows when you’ll be paid.

Our homepage explains every way to check your status, including the Moya app, and what each status means.

Approved but no pay date?

This is one of the most common SRD questions. According to SASSA, a payment can be held up when (Business Report, September 2025):

  • Your banking details are wrong, or still waiting to be confirmed.
  • Your status is “referred” for more checks.
  • Your identity verification hasn’t been completed.
  • Your bank sent the money back because something didn’t match.

SASSA says that once your banking details are confirmed, the payment goes out in the next payment cycle. Check your bank details are in your own name, finish any face check SASSA sends you, and keep checking your status.

Pay date has passed but there’s no money

  1. Wait three business days after your pay date. Banks don’t always show the money on the same day.
  2. Check your status again. If the month now says paid, the money has left SASSA.
  3. Make sure your bank account is open, active and in your own name.
  4. If you chose cash collection, look for the SMS that tells you where to collect.
  5. If nothing has arrived after a week, call SASSA on 0800 60 10 11 with your ID number.

Getting your SRD money

Payment methodHow it worksGood to know
Your own bank accountMoney is paid into your account on your pay date.Usually the most reliable. The account must be in your name.
Cash collectionYou get an SMS when the money is ready to collect at a participating store.Take your ID and the phone with the SMS.

You don’t have to collect your money on the first day. SASSA reminds grant recipients not to rush, because the money stays available in their accounts (EWN, September 2026).

Changing how you’re paid

You can update your banking details on the official SRD site. SASSA advises making payment changes before the 19th of the month to avoid delays (EWN, September 2026). New details must be verified first, so the change usually applies from a later pay run. See how to change your banking details.

Will I get missed months?

  • After an approved appeal: you’re paid for the month you appealed. See our SRD appeal guide.
  • After bank details are verified: SASSA processes held payments in the next cycle, according to its September 2025 statement.
  • Pending for a long time: SASSA has said to wait three months before following up on a pending application (GroundUp).

R350 or R370: is the payment date different?

No. The SRD grant went up from R350 to R370 on 1 April 2024 (The Citizen), but it’s the same grant on the same website with the same payment process. Searches for the SASSA status check for R350 payment date lead to the same R370 dates.

The grant is set to continue for another year beyond March 2027 while government works on a replacement (EWN, 22 October 2026).

Stay safe

  • Nobody can “book” or bring forward your SRD pay date for a fee.
  • SASSA won’t ask for your bank PIN or OTP by phone or WhatsApp.
  • Fake pay date posters circulate every month. Your own status is the only reliable date.

Frequently asked questions

When is the SRD R370 paid this month?

SASSA pays the SRD grant on rolling dates in the second half of the month. Your exact date shows on your status at srd.sassa.gov.za.

Why don’t I have the same date as my friend?

Each person is checked separately every month, so pay dates differ depending on when your checks and bank verification clear.

How long does the money take to reflect?

Usually one to three business days after your pay date. Payments aren’t processed on weekends.

What does approved with no pay date mean?

You qualified for that month, but payment hasn’t been scheduled yet. Common reasons are unverified bank details, a referred status or incomplete identity checks.

Do I have to withdraw my money on the pay date?

No. Money in your bank account stays there until you use it.

Can I check my SRD payment date with only my ID number?

No. A SASSA status check for R350 payment dates needs both your ID number and the cellphone number you applied with.

Is there a SASSA status check for R350 payment dates on WhatsApp?

We couldn’t confirm a WhatsApp number that SASSA uses in 2026. Use the official website or call 0800 60 10 11.

Will the SRD grant be paid in 2027?

Yes. Treasury documents in October 2026 showed the grant being extended for another year beyond March 2027.
